The Curly Maple No. 02 is a one-of-a-kind serving board handcrafted from an exceptional piece of solid curly maple. Natural figuring moves across the surface of the wood, creating depth and movement that shifts subtly as the light changes.
Rather than shaping the board into a perfectly uniform silhouette, the natural live edge has been preserved as part of the piece. Its irregularities, grain patterns, color variation, and individual character are not imperfections—they are what make this board impossible to reproduce.
Designed for charcuterie, cheese, bread, fruit, and gatherings around the table, it also has enough presence to remain on display when not in use.
The board was individually shaped, carefully sanded, and finished by hand in my Hudson Valley workshop with a food-safe oil and wax finish that allows the natural character of the maple to remain the focus.
